Arnica Montana is a daisy like European flowering plant that is used to help repair and fade bruising of skin. It also has anti-inflammatroy properties to relieve muscle soreness. Arnica can be applied to the skin for pain and swelling associated with bruises, aches, and sprains. It is also applied to the skin for insect bites, arthritis, muscle pain, chapped lips, and acne.

Barley flour is a flour prepared from dried and ground barley. It is low in cholesterol and high in fiber and provides a range of important vitamins and minerals including  fiber, selenium, B vitamins, copper, chromium, phosphorus, magnesium, niacin. Compared to many other whole grains, barley is lower in fat and calories, but higher in dietary fiber and certain trace minerals.

Its flowers and leaves, as well as the oil from its seeds are used as medicine. Borage seed oil is used for skin disorders including eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, and neurodermatitis.

Burdock root has a high amino acid profile and is high in minerals.It is naturally antiseptic and is known as the ultimate tissue cleanser.  It is a very useful to help promote healing skin and tissue, helping the tissues remove any excess toxins, making it ideal for use in chronic inflammatory or infective disorders. Due to its detoxing nature, it is important that burdock should be used alongside an herb such as nettle that help with the removal of these toxins from the system. Burdock is an excellent digestive aid and has also been used in the treatment of arthritis, blood disorders, liver and kidney function or toxic conditions which result in skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, sores, boils or dry scurfy skin.

However, is quite the opposite, as cetyl alcohol is well known to effectively condition and soften the skin and hair. Works as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener and carrying agent for other ingredients contained in a cosmetic solution and leaves hair smooth.

A fatty alcohol used as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener, and carrying agent for other ingredients.Our Cetyl alcohol is from palm and coconut oils and is not an irritant and is not related to SD alcohol or ethyl alcohol. The term alcohol here is a real disservice to this ingredient as it is really a fat substance and has moisturizing properties.

Being that Fenugreek is a uterine stimulant it should not be used on pregnant mares, however, after foaling will help with milk production. (There is a small amount in the dosage of our herb blend and have not had any problem feeding it to our mare with allergies while she’s pregnant)
