Turkey Rhubarb is a perennial native to Asia, where it was widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to ease constipation. It can be mixed with water and is also used as a topical paste for a poultice for boils. Turkey rhubarb root is a primary ingredient in Essiac tea. (Essiac tea is a blended herbal tea, from the 1920's, made from burdock root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, and Indian rhubarb root and is praised as an anti-cancer tea.)

How to Use:
How to Prepare:
Tea / Decoction: Use \(\frac{1}{2}\) to 1 teaspoon (approx. 1-3 grams) of powder per cup of water. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes, then strain.
Capsules: Many users prefer encapsulating the powder to avoid its extremely bitter taste.
Topical Paste: Mix the powder with a small amount of water to create a poultice, which can be applied to soothe minor skin irritations or boils.
NOTICE: Do not use this product if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea. Consult a health care provider prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing. Discontinue use in the event of diarrhea or watery stools. Do not exceed recommended dose. Not for long-term use. Not for use in intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, or any inflammatory condition of the intestines or during menstruation. Not for use in excess of 8 consecutive days. Not for use in children less than 12 years of age.
