Welcome to our shop! Let me introduce myself... Sue Olson, the founder of Ranch Life Naturals, and the visionary behind the brand.
Derrick and I both grew up living farm life and milking cows just a few miles from each other here in northern Wisconsin. I'm forever thankful to my parents for raising me on a dairy farm in the midwest with livestock and great dogs. What I learned from farm life is a treasure that has shaped my life. My Dad loved the cattle and raised a beautiful garden. My Mom was the horse lover and showed me love of horses from day one. I grew up racing around the farm with my sister on the back of a horse. When I was 12, my Mom's mare had a foal and he was a gift to me to raise and train myself. His name was Cinnamon and he carried me through my youth. What an amazing gift! I have lived and breathed horses for 54 years and the spirit of the horse runs deep.
Later in life I met and married the love of my life, Derrick. In our blended family, we have 3 children and together we developed a Morgan horse breeding program known as Rafter Bar D Morgans. We stand 3 breeding stallions, 15 mares, and we raise foals every year here at the ranch. Our foals that carry the RBD prefix span the globe with foals throughout the United States, France, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Puerto Rico, and Australia.
Our ranch life of raising foals, making all our own hay crops, and working with young stock training, combined with my experience in the beauty industry for 15 years lends a hand in the development of the product line. Hair and skin that is out in the elements require extra care to prevent dryness, cracking, and breaking.
The inspiration to develop Ranch Life Naturals had been growing in my heart for a number of years, and because of our own needs here at the ranch our journey began. I first starting making soap in our kitchen and then a recipe started formulating for Original Skin Repair No. 01. and Ranch Life Naturals came to life in 2017 with the first products available.
