• Hoof Integrity: Biotin is one of the water soluble B vitamins. Biotin is important for normal thyroid and adrenal glad function, reproductive tract health, nervous system stability, and the growth and repair of skin and hooves. A balanced diet with essential trace minerals also contributes to enhanced skin and hoof quality, like our Equi-Shine vitamin and mineral supplements.
• Skin Integrity: Biotin contributes to the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential components of healthy skin. Biotin is needed for the production of keratin - the protein in both hair and hooves.

1/4 ounce supplies 25mg of Biotin.

For individuals with severely cracked or damaged hooves give 50mg of Biotin a day (1/2 ounce).  Once hooves return to normal, maintain at 25mg Biotin (1/4 ounce).
