A Note from Dr. Gary:

As a dog begins to age, choosing the right diet becomes increasingly important – a high-quality, well-balanced food can make a meaningful difference in how long and how well they live. The Senior Recipe is formulated with lower fat content to account for decreased energy requirements, while maintaining high levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids for healthy skin and coat. Senior dogs need protein from the highest-quality sources to reduce stress on the digestive system – low-ash chicken and menhaden fish are highly digestible and help maintain lean muscle mass as activity levels decline. Natural sources of glucosamine and glucosamine-hydrochloride support joint and connective tissue health for aging dogs.

Sincerely,
Dr. Gary Cotton, DVM
