Description
Adrenal Gland Support
• Increase ability to handle stress
• Lessen fatigue
• Maintain optimal energy levels
Intense physical activity and emotional stress can over-stimulate the adrenal glands, impairing their ability to meet your body’s needs. This may cause increased anxiety and continued stress, as well as fatigue.
Herbal support of the adrenal gland may help to normalize its function and maintain a healthy, working sympathetic nervous system.
Ingredients
-
Ashwagandha root (Withania somnifera) : Adaptogens support one’s ability to cope with stress and conserve energy. Ashwagandha supports and tones the entire system, especially the endocrine and immune systems.
-
Astragalus root (Astragalus membranaceus) : This adaptogen herb helps beat stress while supporting whole-body wellness. In addition to boosting your immune system, studies show it’s vital for cardiovascular health and can provide support for healthy cell growth!
-
Codonopsis root (Codonopsis pilosula) : Codonopsis root is effective in boosting the health of your immune system, promoting a healthy mind and memory, and generally as an adaptogen, meaning that it can help your body in its reaction to stress.
-
Devil’s Club root bark (Oplopanax horridus) : As a member of the Ginseng family, Devil’s Club root bark is used to support the adrenal glands and the entire endocrine system.
-
Eleuthero root (Eleutherococcus senticosus) : Eleuthero is also commonly called Siberian ginseng. As an adaptogen, it helps to support the body’s fight against the effects of stress.
-
Fo-ti root (Polygonum multiflorum) : Traditionally used to nourish the blood, liver, and kidneys, fo-ti root may support the health of the skin, hair, and overall energy levels.
-
Wild Yam root (Dioscorea villosa)
Dosage
Suggested Use:
3-11 yrs: 1/8 tsp
12+ yrs: 1/4 tsp.
Take 1-3 times daily.
We suggest avoiding the use of stimulants, such as caffeine. Caffeine can further stress the adrenal glands to work harder. Discontinue use 5 weeks prior to scheduled surgery as Astragalus may cause excess bleeding and Wild Yam may lower NSAID’s (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) abilities to lessen inflammation.
